ABOUT HOW TO DRAW A PORTRAIT

Drawing a portrait is a skill , that can be developed by practicing strokes , shading techniques ,blending techniques . These skills would develop your skill in drawing a portrait . Not all first portrait becomes perfect but by practicing it would . Drawing a portrait by feeling the nature of portrait and soul would give a nice portrait.

How To Start a Portrait

• First of all the nice image of the face which your going to draw that face as a portrait.

• Then you need quality paper , so the portrait would come better ,

• Take the lightest pencil for drawing like 2H ,4H or HB , and that would prevent from over darkening of the portrait .

• After completing this steps you need to start the [portrait with the outline of the face .

• Slowly after finishing these steps , find the position of the eye in the face and plot the position in the portrait , then draw the outline of the eye . ( follow these steps)

• Then draw the outline for nose & mouth

• While drawing the mouth , draw with the low pressure or softly .

• And then after completing all the elements in our face go through a glance the all are in correct position .

• Then watch the image sharply where the light is more and dark shade is more .

• After observing thoroughly shade the darkest portion of portrait with the pencils like 4B,6B,8B,10B according to the dark you want .

• Then blend the portion with the blending stump or a by a tissue paper .

• Leave the place freely where the light falls in that image .

• After completing the portrait , give any background effect to that portrait .
